Overview
AAble Rents is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio and primarily serves corporate events as well as high-end weddings and festivals. In a usual peak season weekend the business installs up to 225 tents while employing as many as 109 staff who cover jobs within a 200-mile radius.
AAble Rents , helmed by CEO and owner Ramsey Duqum, carries a broad inventory of tents including clearspan structures from 10m all the way up to 25m, high peak tents up to 80’, sailcloth up to 51’ and an array of frame tents.
Challenge
“Everyone in our industry faces the same challenge, regardless of size: finding and retaining enough labor,” Duqum says. “We also believe it’s important to focus on creating a better work-life balance for our employees, so we started exploring options to improve operational efficiencies.”
After a year of tremendous growth stretched AAble’s labor limits, Duqum began searching for a way to mechanize the firm’s most labor-intensive tasks. A Tent OX video on YouTube led him to the solution he had been looking for.
Results
On Friday of the Memorial Day weekend that year, AAble Rents was slammed with a full roster of jobs. Duqum got call at 2:30 that afternoon from a company that needed an 80’x120’ tent installed the next day in southern Ohio.
Knowing he couldn’t ask any more of his crew, he pulled in his brother, two volunteers and the Tent OX System and hit the road at 6am Saturday. A job they would never have taken on before was successfully completed, and it paid nearly half of AAble Rents’ investment in the system!
