Headquartered in Ludlow, MA, Michael’s Party Rentals operates out of a 9,000 square-foot warehouse that holds over 100 tents of all sizes, tables, chairs, dance floor, staging, lighting and an extensive array of rental equipment for any type of party.
They primarily serve weddings, corporate events and festivals within a half-hour radius. A tight crew of 18 employees can handle 80 events or more per week during peak season.
Challenge
With so many jobs on the line, and new jobs in the queue, everything depends on the labor force working quickly and efficiently.
But it’s an ongoing challenge to find qualified crew members to accommodate an increasing number of jobs.
“Setting up large pole tents requires a lot of good quality labor,” says owner Michael Linton. “During our peak season, we struggle to find enough crew to send to every job.”
