Headquartered in Ludlow, MA, Michael’s Party Rentals operates out of a 9,000 square-foot warehouse that holds over 100 tents of all sizes, tables, chairs, dance floor, staging, lighting and an extensive array of rental equipment for any type of party. They primarily serve weddings, corporate events and festivals within a half hour radius of the business. A tight crew of 18 employees can handle 80 events or more per week during peak season.

With so many jobs on the line, and new jobs in the queue, everything depends on the labor force working quickly and efficiently. But it’s an ongoing challenge to find more qualified crew members to join the team and accommodate an increasing number of jobs.

“Setting up large pole tents requires a lot of good quality labor,” explains Michael Linton, President of Michael’s Party Rentals. “During our peak season, we struggle to find enough crew to send to every job.”

A Machine Specific to the Event Rental Industry

Linton was looking to purchase a Dingo machine or small skid loader at the same time Scott Woodruff introduced him to the Tent OX System. The system’s full suite of tent and event-specific tools really sold Linton on Tent OX’s versatility and functionality. By April 2015, Michael’s Party Rentals took delivery of the Tent OX suite of tools  and a model 528 articulated loader with turf tires, customized to Linton’s specifications.

“Ultimately, it was the specialized tools that convinced me that the Tent OX was going to be a smart investment for our business,” says Linton.

Growing Profits with the Same Size Staff

Now after a full year of using the Tent OX, Michael’s Party Rentals has been able to keep up with the growing demand of their business better than ever.

“The Tent OX enables us to send half the guys to a job site while still getting the work done in the same amount of time,” says Linton. “I’ve been able to substantially grow my business without having to grow my crew.”
